The Tanglewood Symposium

The Yale Seminar

Music education leaders were displeased with the Yale Seminar.  They did, however, recognize the many new problems that the profession needed to address, and so they decided it was time for serious introspection and planning. - Michael L. Mark

This is a movie produced by the United States Information Services. It was produced in 1949. This video depicts Tanglewood in its very early years. It contains very rare footage of Serge Koussevitzky and Aaron Copland. Its a very neat and interesting document of its time. Transferred from the original 35mm theater print donated to the BSO Archives in 1997 by Judd Pollock .
